Introduction

So how did this project start then ? Well, back in 1985 i bought my first C64. It was a really nice computer and still is. First i mainly played games but soon i started coding. First some in basic and later asm. I joined the scene and were active mostly in the group Ikari. At this time i also started to get interested in SID-music. As i coded demos and such i had to use some sound in them. I started loving those SID-tunes back in those days. I still love them and i even ripp some tunes now and then.

Later in 1989 i joined the Amiga (and still use it). I miss those nice SID-tunes though, but one day came PlaySid ! I got really happy as i could now listen to those old tunes. One problem though was that it didn't support filters. Many tunes sounded very wrong but it was better than nothing. Many years later came a port of the Linux SID-player called SidPlay. This one had filters and sounded VERY near the real thing. The big problem now was that it didn't have a GUI. I talked to Phill Wooller which makes the Amiga-port of SidPlay and asked him to make a GUI. He said he would and i waited. One day i couldn't wait any more. So here is the result, a SID-player with a nice GUI and more to come =) Start it up and get nostalgic !!
